Hello everyone! We’re back with another list of new best games that will all be released in March. We’ve had a pretty strong start to 2024 with the number of games I’ve played. March is looking no different. Today, I will cover all the top games I think are worth playing, some of which are AAA, with a few indie games thrown in to mix things up. We’ll run out of time to play them all, so tell me, what games are you looking forward to playing this month?
Now, we’ve seen a lot of simulators over the years, from farming to lawnmowers, trains, and goats. Well, on March 7th, we’re getting Taxi Life, an open-world simulator game based in Barcelona. This game looks fantastic! You have to complete time-based jobs, evade traffic jams, and avoid road closures, all while abiding by the law. Think crazy taxi but without the crazy. Not only does this game look like Barcelona, but it is said to be an authentic replica of the city on an accurate scale. So, if you’ve ever been to or happen to live here, you’ll recognise the landmarks and buildings as you drive around and complete tasks. You can create different cars and customise the looks and character of your vehicles, as well as the interior and performance. As you go around, you’ll notice the weather and driving conditions will also impact your car. If you find that every time you play GTA, you just like completing the taxi rides or abiding by the rules of the road, maybe give this one a go. Taxi Life, a city driving simulator, launches on March 7th, coming to PC, Xbox Series, and PS5.
Next, we have The Outlast Trials, a first-person horror game developed by Red Barrel. This series has been pretty popular over the years, and from the early gameplay and trailers that we’ve seen, it looks pretty scary as well. It is so brutal that I have struggled to find footage safe today. Set during the Cold War, you are recruited as a human guinea pig to complete the trials and therapy to be released. You can either go at it alone and play this solo or team up with up to four of your friends and play co-op. You then collect documents, survive the trials, and put yourself through some horrific and terrifying ordeals. Seriously though, I wish I could show you more, so go and watch the full trailer and see what you think. The Outlast Trials launches on March 5th, coming to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a game that I’ve been looking forward to, and the more trailers and gameplay I’ve seen have only made me even more excited. It’s a third-person action RPG from Capcom, and it’s probably no surprise that it’s a sequel to the 2012 title. Much like the first, it’s a single-player open-world game, but this time, it’s massive, as it will be four times bigger than before. It’s also split into two maps, where the Arisen rules as king with a fortified city, green rolling hills, and humans, while the second is littered with ancient ruins, steep canyons, and beast-like creatures. But the good news is that you can travel between the two. The main story itself is narrative-driven, and you need to navigate your way around the massive immersive world, combating various enemies and building your squad of pawns. Pawns are AI sidekicks designed to assist you throughout the game, including solving challenges and finding enemy weaknesses. Throughout the game, you can customise your character enough to change how you play and approach different situations. Choosing a vocation, including Fighter, Thief, Warrior, or Trickster, will completely change how your character handles combat, from throwing smoke down to disorientating enemies to long-range attacks with a bow and arrow. Combining the massive open world, side quests, and stunning visuals, I think this will be big. I also hope it gets the launch it deserves, as the original had a pretty slow start back in the day. Dragon’s Dogma 2 launches on March 22, coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series.
Then, on March 5, we get what feels like the 75th instalment of WWE, where we jump in the ring with more than 200 characters, including John Cena, Logan Paul, and Bad Bunny. 2K has confirmed that it will be their most comprehensive wrestling game. We get the usual modes, including Backstage Brawl, Royal Rumble, and Extreme Rules. Still, they’re also four new modes, including Ambulance, Gauntlet, Cas Kit, and guest Referee Bounce, all available at launch. Throughout the game, there are two storylines to play along with multiplayer modes and you. Still, they ‘read online.
